ENCOURAGING HEALTHY LIVING IN CHILDHOOD

Why do we start worrying about weight and nutrition late in life? It seems an uphill task for an adult to change eating, sleeping, and other routine habits. But, if a healthy routine is introduced early in life, the next generation will reap its benefits without having to work hard.

What’s more, maybe it just becomes fun and an attitude they would want to live with!

Make children aware of importance of different food groups in their diet.

Insist on a fruit time daily.

Restrict TV/Internet/Mobile Time. Let Them Decide whether they need it for pleasure or education.

Eight hours of sleep is a must. Early to bed and early to rise makes a person healthy wealthy and wise.

Play time is a must. Forty minutes to one hour of physical activity that the child enjoys should be a daily routine. It will also keep stress at bay apart from boosting immunity, growth and preventing obesity.
